Nathan Cooper
B App Sc (Physiotherapy)
Assoc MAHTA
Nathan has been working as a Physiotherapist for 20 years and brings a wealth of experience to MEND Hand Therapy. He has worked in several musculoskeletal and workplace physiotherapy roles including the highly regarded Sydney Spine and Pelvis. It was this practice that allowed him the opportunity to develop excellent manual therapy skills – Nathan uses a variety of assessment and treatment techniques to get optimal outcomes for patients. He has extensive post-graduate training in treatment approaches such as the “Connect” therapy model, Jean Pierre Barral’s neural manipulation, and Muscle Energy Techniques.
For the last 3 years he has pivoted his career into the area of Hand Therapy- working in a Sydney based Hand Therapy clinic. He has developed excellent splinting and post-operative management skills and is working towards full AHTA accreditation. Importantly, he can combine his treatment skills in musculoskeletal physiotherapy with Hand Therapy treatment, to provide patients with comprehensive rehabilitation of the entire upper limb.
Outside of work, Nathan spends his time playing lots of sport with his 4 kids, keeping active in the gym, and cooking delicious charcoal barbecues.
